Campaign Desk

Desk Project

(Sorry, not the best quality of pictures)

Chad and I both love updating our little nest, and today, I am so excited to post pictures of the completed campaign desk. Before we moved to Logan I found a picture of this desk online and went crazy over it and HAD TO HAVE IT. Chad started making it for me at Aspen Mill and to say the least, it was quite the project; he wasn't too fond of trying to figure out the dimensions and everything from scratch. But this is just proof at what an amazing carpenter he is :) Chad finished it the night before we moved and I was so amazed at how beautiful it turned out. I really wanted it to be white (like everything) but Chad made me pick a color, so we went with gray and am so glad we did! 9 months later, I finally found some reasonably priced hardware online. The support rods are spray painted brass which ties everything together and looks fabulous. Now, I'll for sure be able to get all my homework done sitting at this pretty desk. :)
By the way... we were surfing the internet the other day and came across the original sellers of the desk (William Sonoma) with all the measurements and everything listed on the site (would've been a great help) but we were almost exact to the plan, which I thought was pretty impressive. And... (Chad loves this part) it was listed for $3,800!!... We made it for $100 ( We got the wood and paint for free), it's not who you are, but who you know, right? We were seriously in shock and sooo excited for how thrifty and savvy we are. Go Team Lambert!
