1 down 7 to go.
Yay, the semester is over, I can't believe it! Although, I'm relieved it's over I have absolutely nothing to do in Logan now except wait for Chad to come home and rescue me from boredom. Actually, I have a couple of projects going so that will keep me busy until we drive home on Christmas Eve night. Hopefully when we come back from our little holiday Chad won't have to work weekends anymore, that would make my year. I have really enjoyed school this semester. I got A's. No, really I'm not dumb. It's crazy how I actually loved working on my assignments and studied super good for my finals, and then voila!... I get good grades. Wow, I never knew that would feel so good.
Anyway, I wanted to share some of my projects that I completed this semester for my portfolio. I apply for the Interior Design program at Utah State this spring, and I'm working my buns off to get in, so I better. haha. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary
Today marks 2 years of marriage for us. It really is hard to believe its been 2 years, because it really seems like 3! But none the less it has been more than incredible being married to Chad. Sometimes I still can't believe that I'm married to Chad Lambert... He has such a hot name. Anyway, for our celebration we had a great time celebrating in Park City. Yes, you may have caught on that we LOVE Park City. We went there on our honeymoon, 1st year anniversary and now our 2nd. We felt pretty cool when we ate at all the same places, and pretty much did the same routine as last year,( except no bike rides, poor Chad) that's how much we love it. Chad is really good at surprising me, and I love surprises... so when I thought we weren't going to be able to do anything, (since Chad had to work Saturday), he still had something up his sleeve.
I'm so blessed to have him in my life. As I was day dreaming on our way back to Logan last night I felt so warm reminiscing on the great adventures we have already had, and the day to day life that we live together is more sweet than anything I could have imagined. My short time in marriage has taught me, it is what you make it. Marriage is hard work, and communication is on top of the list. I've learned to chill, not everything is going to work out as planned and to have fun. "It's not about the destination, but the journey"- Travis Rice. Cheers to you my hubby, it's a great ride.

MS Ride 2011

It's a tradition now in the Lambert family to make the trip up to Cache Valley and ride in the 'Harmon's best dam bike ride'. This is my second year participating and loved it. Chad has been doing it with his family for many years. Chad's dad Corey started the tradition, being the cool rode biker that he is (really... he's old school- its not just a cool trend for him) and being diagnosed with MS himself 19 years ago. The teams that raise more than the $25o minimum donation go above and beyond to raise money for the disease. It's a lot of fun being in good company, on bikes for a good cause. Chad and his mom did the 75 miles on Saturday, and Chad went on without us on Sunday to do another 75. I'm so glad that we have the same interests and are able to spend time together being active. Thank you for all those who helped raise money this year to help fight MS. Corey is such an inspiration to Chad and I to keep going and have a very positive attitude for what is handed to you. Boo-ya MS!

Switzerland

Plane ride.. sleepy eyes
don't you just want to eat lunch here everyday? 1st hostile experience. loved my handmade silky sheet

If you've ever wondered if this country is as beautiful as everyone says it is, well you'll just have to
see for yourself. But, let me just tell you... It's so beautiful! As we left Kiki's care it was a little scary to now be completely on our own in a country where we didn't know where we were off to next and.... yep, no French for us. We flew into Geneva, walked around for about 30 minutes wondering what on earth we were doing there.. Not that it wasn't cool, just foreign and a little intimidating. So... we found a tourism shop (thank goodness for Chad's sense of direction) where they knew English and got our feet underneath our knees again and had high hopes. Gruyere
We should have done a little more research since we were just marking off the places to go that the brochure pointed to us, but who cares... We're in Switzerland! We had a great lunch on the side of the street and started walking. Our hostile wasn't the cleanest, wasn't the safest, but I had my hubby and he kept me safe. A couple that was staying in our room ( hostil
e remember) had been away from home for 1 month already and were planning to be gone another. It was fun to see other travelers on their merry way.
We got a lot of pointers from our neighbor Nick that
served his mission in Switzerland, and he hooked us up with the Country Side of Switzerland. We went to church and met some great members, including this older couple that gave us a ride Chateau Chillon and learned that they have a daughter now living in Logan Utah (small world, eh). It was such an enjoyable ride up to this beautiful Chateau with the Alps just covered by a thick layer of clouds; at least we kind of saw them, right? When I first laid eyes on this magnificent location right on Lake Geneva I was so impressed. The architectural boundaries that were created to build this Chateau right off of a rock floating above water was breath-taking. Definitely one of the highlights of our vacation.
Next highlight was a little town named La Gruyere, hom
e of the famous Swiss cheese and Chocolate. We toured the building where they famously make their cheese from native Swiss cows and tested the cheese right on hand. With another 10 min. train ride and a $50 taxi ride (Chad wasn't too pleased) we made it in the nick-of-time to see the Chocolate Factory. I was just waiting for Mr Wonka aka Johnny Depp to pop out somewhere. At the end of the tour, being very educated on the root of the cocoa bean, where it came from and how precious it once was, there was a beautiful display of chocolates waiting at the end of the tunnel for Chad and I to nibble. Brilliant... the chocolate was to die for.
The Alps.

Amsterdam

Delicious food. Fabulous restaurants. millions of bicycles. Tall blonde women. Yummy Dutch cookies. brick homes. red light district. The Dutch Country Side. Kiki. A real Saturday market. Great shopping. High top sneakers. Anne Frank Home. Bicycle ride in the park. Best Mexican Food. Kiki's rad apartment. Everyone knew English. Canal Ride. Steep Stair ways.

Day 1: Flew into Amsterdam with Kiki there to pick us up. Amazing dutch food in a Retro diner. Met Jennifer, finally we all warmed up to each other. walked home to Kiki's. Found out we had her whole apartment to ourselves. Slept wonderfully right next to each other.

Day 2: Kiki met us at her apartment, got introduced to life in the city on a bike. (A huge bike mind you) Made it alive to the Anne Frank home. Toured the home before the rush of lines. Felt a lot of different emotions, an amazing place to see with strength and love still in the walls. Ate at yet another great restaurant. Kiki really knew where to take us. Plus.. She Spoiled us, she never let us pay. We did that day though :) Played around the city feeling really cool on our bikes, just until I almost ran someone over, and they were going to do the same to me. Good thing I have blonde hair, they totally thought I was an Amsterdam-er... a ditsy one.

Day 3: We walked around the city, found some great shopping locations, learned about some great designers in the Netherlands, talked a lot about Kiki's degree in watch making, her new boyfriend and his clothing store. How no one ever gets married over there, unless they're way beyond 30. Drove around the Dutch Country seeing some fabulous homes, that I could move into in a second, such class. Had the greatest cup of hot coco. Hung out in Kiki's apartment and took on the city by ourselves. Found a great yellow cafe... mmmm... mmm.. good. lol. (get it?)

Day 4: We now leave the coolest city and off to our next country. We were a little reluctant when we got to Amsterdam wondering to ourselves if we made the right choice in going there. About day 2 we both fell in love with the busy energetic city. Kiki made our trip.
